ROGER JAMES ALTMANFrom the Palm Beach Florida Newspaper – It is with a heavy heart that we announce our beloved Roger James Altman died in his sleep November 27, 2011. He was 55. Roger was a wonderful son, brother and friend. He was his mother’s best friend. Roger had a vibrant personality and was one of the funniest people you ever wanted to meet. He was a great raconteur. To know Roger you would need to know one of histories. He was an excellent athlete, enthusiastic bicyclist and lover of animals, especially his black lab, Boeing. The beach was his favorite place to go with Boeing to walk and play ball. Roger worked for US Airways as a flight attendant for more than 25 years and was recognized and respected by his peers as one of their finest employees. He received numerous commendations for saving lives. He traveled all over the world, now leaving broken hearts wherever he landed. Roger had a zest for life and lived it to the fullest. He was born in White Plains, NY. He attended Forest Hill High School, but graduated from Boulder High School in Colorado. He received his college degree in business administration from Western State College in Colorado. There he became an excellent skier and lived in Crested Butte, making many memories on that mountain. Roger lived in West Palm Beach for the past 30 years and was preceded in death by his father, Warren, on September 23, 2011. They are now together in heaven. He is survived by his mother, Alice, of West Palm Beach, FL, sister Kerriann Bingham (Ron) of West Palm Beach, FL, brothers Owen (Marty) of Delray Beach, FL, and Marc of Boulder, CO. He has seven nieces and nephews: Cameron, Kealy, Mackenzie, Meghan, Ryan, Logan and Brendan. There will be a celebration of his life in the near future for all of his friends.
